having a blast with the dalys!

beau started yesterday and went 1 for 3 with and RBI single and looked good out there. the indians presented him with an award for minor league player of the year before the game started, so rochelle and i were the crazy wife and sister, snapping about a thousand pictures...oh so proud!!!

dadda babba, the steak and potatoes were AWESOME! beau really wanted to get a bbq for the patio so he got a $40 one at wal-mart and last night we had grilled chicken and french bread from the barby; i'd say it was a pretty good investment and my husband is a happy camper.

sean took off this morning on his bike and was decked out in his irish ensemble ha ha. dad, you're going to have to take your bike out here when you come!

mother dear, hope your snow shoeing was fun and you weren't huffin' and puffin' too hard but it sounds to me like you've been getting some fantastic workouts in : )

girls, good luck tonight! i'm sad i can't be there to be the loud cheering big sister but i'll be cheering from arizona.

mama mills, don't get bit! haven't seen any sort of poisonous animal out here YET but i'll keep my eyes peeled. papa mills, we watched your little blip on boston.com; you are such a stud! we are quite proud : )

rochelle and i are off to go shopping and then come back and catch some rays by the pool; beau doesn't think he'll play today so we might go to the game a little late.

bro and sis arrive!

sean and rochelle arrived last night!!! it is SO nice to have them here ; ) we watched the oscars and beau went to bed early, but i wanted to chat a bit. sean and beau were out early; sean wanted to play two courses today before the tournament tomorrow. rochelle and i went to the market and got some goods for dinner-we're having steak and potatoes tonight; we're going to give our bbq a go, it should be delish! we took sadie for a walk and are thinkin' about a workout here in a little while or going to lay out by the pool. it's been kinda overcast lately, warm but cloudy. i heard it's raining in v-town, enjoy it because it is needed over there.

new article about the hubs : )

i was browsin' around the indians website and stumbled upon a great article about beau: "Sights set high for Tribe prospect." check it out if you guys have a chance : )

sean and rochelle, our pooch has finally done it! she jumped up on the couch last night! we were pretty excited ha ha

dad and sean, beau is very jealous that you get to see all the riders, bikes, and tour buses in cali; he's wishing he was there. sounds like such a blast! how has the turnout been-are there quite a few people there? sean, that pic of lance's bike was pretty sweet, even i wish i were there.

and yes dad, there are TONS of bbqs all over the property. when you come, we're gonna have to light up the barby! : )

yesterday, it was warm enough for me the venture out to the pool. it was lovely! it's going to be warm all weekend so i'm headed back out today, my new book in hand, to soak up the sun : )

DADDY TEACHING SADIE A TRICK

i do think she's getting a little lonely for her two buds shamus and jackson : (

beau had his first official day of camp today and he said it went well. the boys are gone at six thirty and today weren't back until 2:30...he is one tired man and so is sadie because i took her for a very long walk today...how cute are they!? as dadda babba would say, "takin' a snoozer on the couch" : )

Happy Love Day

Happy Valentine's Day! We heard Mom and Dad Mills were having a BBQ with the Francona's down in Florida...sounds lovely : ) Hope you guys are enjoying the warm weather over there!
It was nice to read your guys' comments, made me miss you all even more...
Dara and Matt invited us to a church called Christ Church of the Valley last night. When Matt was with the Brewers, he and the chaplain, Brian, got pretty close and Brian goes to this church and invited Matt and Dara. It was MASSIVE!!! And when I say massive I mean absolutley huge. The grounds and the buildings were beautiful and looked pretty new. Brian and his wife Cheri were really nice and welcoming and we all sat together during the service. The worship was great, the message was awesome and afterward we got to meet the pastor, which I thought was nice of him to come over and say hi. We really really enjoyed it.
We got a recommendation from Cheri to go to a steak place called Arrowhead Grill for dinner. It was packed but we sat in the bar at a small table and had a great meal. We shared the Wedge Salad, one of the best we've EVER had. I had Salmon with some Shrimp and my Valentine had a Rib-Eye Steak...Yummo

And the adventure begins...

We have arrived! It took us 8 hours and several bathroom stops for Sadie, but we made it safe to Avondale, Arizona. Our apartments are awesome: gated, with a gorgeous pool (yay!), a workout facility, a mini movie theater and some great places for Sadie to run and play. We're in a one bedroom one bath apartment with a great kitchen (i made my first "spring training" dinner tonight for Beau, we need to keep him nourished and well fed!) and the couches are nice and cozy (i sat and read on them for a couple hours while Sadie snoozed on me).
Dara and I are choeffers, switching off every other day driving the boys to and from the park. This morning I brought them around 7:15 and she picked them up around 1 pm. Tomorrow she is early and I get the afternoon.
It was a little chillier than I expected, 32* this morning! But dethawed and reached about 62*, the pool won't be seein' me for a while, maye 70-ish : )
Miss you all very much already, but we are very excited and looking forward to the next two months in Arizona!
