i'm a lucky woman

beau came home two days ago and i was happy as a clam : ) he is the best husband and i am so so so happy to be his wife.
last night, there were three girls at the game from the opposing team and we made friends and had a grand ol' time!
and ronda is coming tomorrow!!! we can't wait until she gets here!
another reason i'm happy, is because it's 80 degrees and sunny today-gorgeous!

exciting news!

no i am NOT pregnant, as seems to be the rumor going around lately (one which i have no idea who started, but it's categorically untrue)...no no no the exciting news is that i have a job interview tomorrow. a woman called me today and asked if i would be interested in watching her kids as sort of a part-time nanny. i explained that i had to bring beau to the park everyday but that i could be available in the mornings for a couple of hours and then in the afternoons as soon as i drop beau off. she seemed like the nicest lady and i am really hoping that i get the job. i would love to make some money and keep myself busy : )
other news from this exhilarating tuesday, it's hailing here and there is a chance of snow tomorrow. for all us "east coasters", it's a bit nippy. for all you "west coasters", i bet it's soundin pretty nice right about now compared to the hot hot heat you're getting back there. hopefully we both land in the happy medium temperatures soon.
also, BEAU COMES HOME TOMORROW!!!!! wow, clearly i am a little bit excited...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2O15DXv3Vwg <----- and please watch this video on youtube, copy and paste it into your location bar; rochelle sent it to me and it might be one of the funniest things i have ever seen!

all by myself...

don't wanna be all by myself...(tribute to celine dion) so, today is number 4 that beau has been gone. it's been good so far, haven't missed him TOO bad yet. however, tonight something occured that made me a little bummed my hubby wasn't here to comfort me. i got pulled over AGAIN!!! but this time, i swear, i didn't do anything wrong. our plates were expired! i can't believe we didn't take care of this earlier-we never got anything in the mail (at least that i know of). so tomorrow my job is to call ronda or rochelle to see if they possibly picked up any mail that contained this vital information. and to call the ohio DMV to get our plates "unexpired".

Psalm 139:13-16

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be..........

This verse was on Tina Highstreet's new blog and I just think it is an incredible passage. I admire their strength and their faith more than I can say.

several random things on the agenda...

first, i found this picture from our road trip that i forgot to post. when my dad got in the car looking like this, i laughed SOOOO hard. it was one of the best moments of the whole trip : ) he came back from taking sadie for a quick walk, tried to pull out ONE poop bag and ALL of them, EVERY SINGLE ONE, came out. he just kept pulling and pulling and pulling...classic dad

me and my husband hangin' out in our sweats before i took him to the park one morning...i thought it was such a great picture i couldn't resist : )

this was maybe the cutest thing ever-sadie laying on the pillow like a human, in the fetal position ha ha

my old computer broke in arizona and since beau took his on the road, so i pranced over to best buy and picked out a brand new computer! it's beautiful and this is my first blog on my new computer-it's this really cool pewter/brown color and it's just fabulous : )

this is miss sadie after the big surgery! she came out of the office as chipper as ever and when we got home she went straight outside and was soakin' up the sun : ) she only has a little slit under her tummy and her eyes were a little red and she's tired. but for the most part, she looks great

these are the apartments we're staying in. they're awesome and we love it here. miss sadie is out on the porch every chance she gets spyin' on the neighbors : )

it looks like rain tonight, another chilly one at the ball park! there's a girlfriend here, her name is CJ, and we'll be freezing out buns off tonight but cheering for our men!

Road Trip!

Oh joy, 30 hours ahead of us. Nothing but good conversation, some delish diners, extreme weather conditions, a couple cadillacs, a motel 6 and plenty of memories. Where do I begin?

And we're off!!! The Rover packed in tightly, the ipod with dad's favorite jams ready to go and miss sadie hangin' in the backseat
.
Goodbye Phoenix.
Hello Flagstaff.

Now, it was here in Flagstaff that we ran into a little bit of a problem. The wind was so bad, every road that we could have taken to keep driving cross country, was closed
momentarily. Check out the traffic. These are our "sad" and "disappointed" faces...

So, what on earth did we do?! Easy, we hit up Diner #1. Dad was jazzed up; Salsa Brava here we come. As you can see, we likey!

We heard that the roads were going to be closed possibly all night, so we got a hotel room and got a little workout in. By the time we were done, the roads were open and so off we went.

That <---- is a picture of the dust storm we drove through for hours. The weather was nuts! We stopped at a Best Western for the night where throughout the night we could have sworn the roof was going to blow off! We were up at 5, got some breakfast and away we went! One of the first things we came across was........ the ONE, the ONLY, the ORIGINAL, CADILLAC RANCH!!! (Amarillo, TX)

one of the beautiful sunsrises we got to witness during our early mornings.

and here we see a really, really big cross...everything is bigger in Texas!

we tried to got to this little joint called leo's, supposed to be Diner #2...however as we soon discovered, Ol' Leo was no longer a working diner : ( it was very much out of business as the guy in the van found out shortly after us. he and his wife looked a bit like us, with their maps out, traveling the country, just trying to get some good BBQ. unfortunately, it looked like we were both flat outta luck.

Cafe on the Route was
out third and final diner...it was pretty good but gave us both some serious indigestion...

Pitstop!!! took sadie out for a little run : )

us at ohio state football stadium in columbus, ohio...almost to akron!
and just in case you were wondering, that's dad with crosses over his eyes because he really hate ohio

and after many hours, lots of laughs and an overall interesting trip we made it to our new home: AKRON, OHIO!

we stayed in a lovely rundown motel 6 for two nights while we searched for an apartment in the snow. and after many hours, we found one we loved!!!
WE'RE HOME!!!!
