Happy Halloween

Me and Missy, she's headed out to a dance party as an adorable bumble bee!

Last night, we headed over to my parents for their annual Pumpkin Carving Halloween Party. We've been doing it for years but the kids who used to carve are now off at college or just getting older. Over the past two years the party has turned into a social event with only very few pumpkins carved. But it is a tradition to carve a couple and Beau and Megan sucked it up and busted out two very good looking carvings. We had a wonderful night with the Mills clan, the Baxleys, the Zeebs, the Bookouts and the Kindys. Watched some football and some baseball and had some incredible food. Great night all around : )

What a fun night we had! The Moons boys are staying with my parents and they came over for dinner. They wore Sadie out playing with her all night and were so excited to hold Kensie. And Dick and Cindy Dotters stopped by to see our new bundle of joy : )

First Doctor Visit

Kensie is healthy as a horse! She hasn't lost any weight which is great, means she's eating really well : ) Getting the house ready for Omar and Cat, our friends from season. They're coming to visit today!! Yay : ) We put her in the swing that they bought us for the first time today and she has been sleeping hard for the last two hours. Lovely!

Second night has come and gone. Loving every second of life with Kensie despite how exhausted we are! She has been unbelievable so far, we are very lucky to have such a good baby. Just praying she stays this good which is doubtful!! : ) Enjoying our first Sunday together, football is on and Beau's in his living glory with his little girl in his arms

And she is the most precious, perfect, beautiful thing I have ever seen. After going in at 6 pm on Wednesday night, I woke up Thursday morning exactly where the doctor wanted me to be. He gave me a little pill that got my contractions started and by 10 am, I was getting an epidural. I progressed pretty quickly and when the nurse came in around 2 pm, she said it was about time to push! She called the doctor and it took me 20 minutes to push Miss Kensie Jae out. 7 lb 3 oz, 20 inches of soft, sweet baby. Two hours later, we were taken the the Mother/Baby Ward and lots of family and friends came to see us Thursday and Friday. We had a long first night just because so many nurses were in and out checking both me and Kensie. We finally got to come home yesterday at 3 pm. We were completely emotionally and physically drained but holding her revitalized me. She is more perfect than I could have dreamed and I am so grateful she is here. Beau is absolutely incredible. So good with Kensie and taking care of his wifey ; ) And grandparents and aunties and uncles and all the family and friends who have helped us and love us so much: THANK YOU!!! Thank you everyone for all your prayers and thoughts, God heard you! He gave me a great delivery and us a beautiful baby girl.
