Welcome home Mom and Dad!!!

I haven't heard from them quite yet, but from my calculations, Mom and Dad got into LA yesterday along with Paul and Jacque. So glad they're home safe and sound! Mom now has another couple days relaxing in San Diego while Dad is off to V-Town to hang out with his cows and make sure they're still happy and making lots of leche. Can't wait to chat!

Baby Blanket: aka Poncho

I accomplished what I set out to do 2 months ago: I finished crocheting my first baby blanket. Unfortunately, it is quite possibly one of the ugliest baby blankets I have ever seen. It sorta looks like a cape, it started out wide and slowly got narrower and narrower. Beau's very first opinion about, that it looked like a Mexican poncho, was dead on.  I'm a bit embarrassed to even show it to you all, but there were a lot of long hours put into making it and I want to show you the end product. No one laugh. And trust me, the picture is being very kind. I can personally guarantee it doesn't look that normally shaped in person. Maybe instead Miss Sadie can use it as her new bed to lay on! But hey, it was worth a go at it right? Not successful but fun none the less!

i succumbed to the body pillow

well, i caved and bought myself this lovely body pillow! it's been getting harder and harder for me to get comfy at night and these pillows seem to be the solution to a restless night. feeling pretty nauseous lately, the first time this whole pregnancy that i've felt like this. not very fun! and it's cookin' hot here today, there's even a heat advisory so that's making me extra lazy ha ha i babysit this afternoon and sunday morning which will be great because the boys will be home before we know it! the girls and i are having a 'say yes to the dress' viewing party tonight at cat's place; i love girl tv nights!

New Design

So, I was pretty sick of my other background and I decided to play around with it a bit. So don't be surprised if each time you come to my page it looks different! I like this one but am gonna see what else is out there. I needed something perhaps a bit brighter and livelier. Beau and I have been together for 20, count em', 20 days straight! Unheard of in baseball world ha ha He leaves tonight for 4 days but back for another 7. The weeks are ticking by, this season has flown by...6 weeks til we're home and 12 short weeks til Baby Mills comes!

Pregnancy Symptoms...

Finally feeling the effects of pregnancy. The last couple of days, I am so exhausted I can hardly function. I try to make myself take the pooch for a walk and I start out trying to walk sorta fast and end up on the way home walking slow as a snail! I haven't really had exhaustion like this yet, so it's new to me and I don't like it at all. I want my energy back! Baby is just sucking the life out of me but that must mean she's growing big and strong...Looks like lots of naps and early nights for me in the future...

27 weeks pregnant

Just 1 week shy of 7 months! Pretty hard to believe, it's crazy to think that our little miss is going to be joining us in about 2 months! She is constantly kicking, flipping and punching. She'll be quite the active baby I think and I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing....Regardless, we are counting down until we get to hold her!

And we pulled the trigger...

Beau and I are now the owner of a new 2010 Ford F150 Silver Platinum Truck and I must say, it is beautiful! We are so excited, they had exactly what we wanted on the lot and we got such an incredible price on our truck! Now, we need to hand over the keys to the Rover. It gave us three fabulous years...

back for a break

After 4 days in lovely Erie, PA (my voice is dripping with sarcasm...) we arrived home last night at midnight after a night game. And now, we have 2 whole days off!!! All-Star Break has finally arrived and Beau began is mini-vaca out golfing with some friends. I picked Miss Sadie up, am doing laundry, unpacking and headed to the market for some food. Yes, I know you're all thinking it, I AM that great of a wife : ) Na, as all you wives know, it's all part of the job description. Perhaps a movie tonight and a dinner date and I think tomorrow we are going to go truck shopping! We are officially handing over the keys to the Rover in a couple weeks and trading in for a Ford truck...A tad jealous of my family right now: Lizzy and Missy in Figi and the parentals in France, they live a really tough life...But enjoying Pa's bloggin'! I look forward to their pics every day!

FORE!!!

Beau wanted to get 9 holes in before he went to the park and invited me along to be his caddy...good times

Best place on earth...

Oh San Diego, my love! What a wonderful time I had with my family. I am just so happy I got to see them all and spend some quality time in the greatest weather ever! Currently in Ohio it is humid as heck and 92* at noon...Gross....Well, the first morning, we took a stroll through Seaport Village where there are all these little shops to bop into. Beau's favorite magic shop as a kid was here but we were so sad to hear it closed down! Beau was a tad depressed....Next, Tay, Aubrey, Mom and myself took the Seal on a "land/water" tour of San Diego. Saw where the seals hung out and took a cruise on the water and learned some fun facts about Sunny San Diego...The Star of India is a boat we passed while driving that is the world's oldest active sailing ship that travels around the world. The movie with Russel Crowe called "Master and Commander" was filmed on it. We took a pedi cab too and from the ballpark a couple nights and got dinner downtown, so awesome down there! Shopping, laying out in 70* weather with a light breeze, baseball and good company; it doesn't get much better than that!! We even got to sit in the dugout the night they had fireworks; it was really special : ) I can't say thank you enough to Mom and Dad for having me. I had such an incredible time! Now, back in Akron where its 92*, humid and sticky as heck and I'm desperately missin' the San Diego weather...
