Wow, a little slice of heaven.

We spent part of yesterday and most of today on the beach!!! The sand is white and soft as powder and the water is 80 degrees. Doesn't get much better than this! We are moved into our apartment. It was in desperate need of a deep cleaning; it was so filthy. But after a couples hours and some tlc it's sparkling clean : ) I can't quite get myself to unpack; the thought that I may have to repack in the near future is extremely daunting! The boys leave tonight for 3 days so it'll be a party on the beach until Beau returns!

Another gorgeous day in paradise!

I think we found a place! Thus, the overly enthusiastic title of this post. But it really is gorgeous here. Every night it's been around 85 but with a heavenly breeze. Ronda arrived tonight and will be here for a week; I'll have a beach buddy! Beau and I went for lunch at the most authentic Irish pub we have ever been too. We couldn't stop telling each other how much Sean and Tom would love it! There was over a million dollar bills stapled to the ceiling! Beau had the Reuben and I had a yummy cheese burger. McGuire's is a must stop here in Pensacola. We took a walk on the pier after lunch where Kensie chased the pigeons and we enjoyed a beautiful view. After the game, Beau took Kensie into the clubhouse. Now tell me, is that not the sweetest thing you've ever seen?!

A beautiful day in Pensacola!

What a difference 10 degrees makes! We drove over the bridge to Pensacola Beach today, where all the action takes place : ) Hotels, bars, beaches; tourist area. We ate lunch at an amazing place called Peg Legged Pete's on the patio with a lovely breeze. At the park, they have a bounce house and today they had a little sandbox set up. Kensie was a happy girl! Still working on housing but I think we're going to move into a condo that a player rented before he was released last week. We'll keep you posted ; )

We have arrived!!

After a few long days, we have a few more ahead. Kensie and I arrived last night around 8 and picked Beau up from the park around 4:30 this morning. We got to get a few more hours in before we got ready to explore this new city of ours! Lunch was pretty high on our to-do list and Beau found a great place called The Fish House. Right on the water, it was beautiful. We also stopped at a place called Joe Patti which is a huge fresh fish market. We decided we'd most definitely be coming back when we find a place to buy some goods
: ) The house hunt was very unsuccessful. Housing is very very hard to find here so I think our best bet would be an extended stay hotel that is big enough for us. I'm a tad stressed/overwhelmed; ask Beau, he'd agree ha ha. The pizza picture is from a few nights ago when Kensie and Beau thought they needed a midnight snack. A classic!

We are officially Reds

And darn proud of it! We slept in this morning and caught up on some much needed rest before headed downtown. We took Kensie to the Creative Discovery Museum before grabbing lunch and dropping Beau off. It is HOT here, I mean real hot. Kensie and I arrived on time to the game. I know, it was a miracle. We got seats behind home plate but it wasn't two innings before we were off and running and sweating, profusely. Kensie hit the wall around 9:30, girlfriend goes hard. I took her to the car got her in her jammies and we're waiting for the man of the hour to get done. Beau was 3-4 for the night; RBI single, solo home run, and a single. I couldn't be more proud. Change is good and seems to be just what we needed! The Lord sure
knows what He's doin : ) Thanks for everyone who follows and supports Beau and our family, you are appreciated!!!

Happy Birthday Grandma V!!!

Wishing you a very happy birthday from the road! We are an hour away from Chattanooga, TN. It's been a very long day and we can't wait to crawl into bed. Please pray for Beau's success here and for his first day to go smoothly. Thank you for all your amazing support, you have no idea how much it means to us!
