Love this little face. She played her heart out with Jack and made some new friends.

This was her first activity. After this, she lost her heels, her ears, her gloves and her makeup ha ha

A Weekend Getaway

This weekend, Beau and I ran the City to Sea Half Marathon starting in San Luis Obispo and ending in Shell Beach. The Mills', Daly's, Morren's and Vannette's were all there for a mini vacay and to cheer us on!

All the essentials when running a half at the coast. Wine, chocolate milk, half and half (need a solid coffee race morning) and green machine.

Beau surprised me with these gorgeous flowers the day before the run. Thank you dear, I love them! And he splurged on a beautiful hotel room; spoiled :)

The last 2 miles of the race were HARD; my body hurt and I was exhausted but I knew I was going to PR if I kept pushing.

We had family cheering us about every 1/2 mile the last stretch of the race!

Beau CRUSHED this race. He was in front of me for 8 miles! So proud of him; hard work pays off. Way to go sugar!!!

Coming around the last turn....

Beau ran a half hour faster than his last half marathon. If you are a runner, that is a huge accomplishment. Such a wonderful picture of him crossing the finish line!

We both had a great race. Nothing like being able to race with your spouse. I am one lucky gal! Beau ran a 1:43 at 7:50 pace and I ran a 1:38 at 7:30 pace. 2 PRs, can't ask for much more!

Aunt Linda was a gem and took Kensie for the weekend. We Can't tell you thank you enough; she had the best time with the boys and we enjoyed a kidless weekend! Mom and Dad took James to the coast and watched him the entire time. What a treat; a million thank yous to you both!!!
