Great storm last night-the lightening comes toward to end of the video. I made about 10 attempts to get a good video but i just didn't catch any lightening : ( but you CAN hear the birds chirping in the background ha ha ha. that's the best i can do

my husband rocks...literally

Yes, what lies before you are classic photos of Beau, dressed like Brett Michaels, lead singer of the band Poison. He and 5 other guys from the team went to see Poison, Def Leppard and Cheap Trick tonight. So fun! Unfortunately, the venue is OUTDOORS and there has been buckets of rain and tons of thunder and lightening all night. I have a feeling they may be a bit wet and muddied up. Boys will be boys...And just in case you're curious, that IS eyeliner he is wearing. i am his new make-up artist.

To all you dads out there, particularly Dadda Babba and Daddy Mills : ) I love you more than words can say. You have raised us, taught us how to live, and have been our role models. You guide us and even though we are "all grown up", having you around to give a hug or some advice, makes us the luckiest kids in the world. cupcakes, mimosas and reba

Yep, that's Reba's face peaking through those mimosas and the recipe to our heavenly red velvet cupcakes on the computer. this picture pretty much sums up our night of fun.




girls night!!! i went over to shannon's tonight and we had a jolly good time. we made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting from SCRATCH!!! yes, just call us Betty Crocker #1 and Betty Crocker #2. we toasted to our night together with mimosas, countless episodes of Reba and watched a storm roll on in...good good times...

cream cheese frosting=1 lb butter, 1 1/2 cream cheese, 2 lb powder sugar=a couple pounds packed onto our hips but some dang good cupcakes

I love my parents

Dad, I totally forgot about that vacation!!! How could I forget?!!! Ha ha ha ha I was laughing so hard at all the things that you listed about that trip-so many good memories. Thanks so much to you and mom for taking us on all those incredible trips, to all those amazing places; I think we had to best childhood anyone could ever ever ask for. I love you both very much. : )

Wow, there is really nothing like a mid-afternoon storm! The clouds rolled in and the fun began!!! I had never seen it rain like this before. The thunder is so loud it hurts my ears...
I tried to upload some video of the thunder and the rain but it wouldn't work! Sorry Dad : (

Day 2 of the boys' road trip. Tonight, I'm going into Cleveland to Progressive Field to help wrap baseballs for a charity the team is doing. I'm going with one of the other girlfriends. She is from Akron and her boyfriend, Scott Lewis, pitches for the big league team but got hurt so he is rehabbing here in Akron. She's so sweet; it should be a fun night!!!
Dad and Mom Mills got to see Beau yesterday and spend the day with him. Dad and Beau both had a day off (how lucky was that?) and so Mom and Dad drove about an hour to see him-so fun! I'm not gonna lie, I was a little bummed I wasn't there with them!
Oh and Jake Westbrook was rehabbing here in Akron and took Beau and I as well as some other players out for dinner. He was such a nice guy and it was really a pleasure to get to meet him.

dad, i'm with you on the obama stimulus package...a big load of crap : ( but i'm pumped about the new hd tv!!! have you been searching lately? we miss ours desperately-we have a small dinosaur like your guys'...my friend shannnon and her husband brought there's from home and it's massive and flat and beautiful. i go over there often to mooch their flat screen and to eat the yummy cookies she makes. she pretty much packed her entire kitchen (which is a lot more than i can say-i have like A pan (as in only one)). Her crockpot meals are definately winning her more "good wife" points ha ha ha

Stayin' busy, makin' some dough

I got the job I interviewed for and I have been working everyday for the family! Today, instead of babysitting I will be cleaning the house for a couple of hours in the afternoon. It will be very therapeutic for me : ) PLUS, I am finally making some money and feeling much better about myself ha ha, trying to be productive!
The Red Sox, TRAMPLED all over the Yankees last night...Thata boy Dad, go get 'em again tonight!
It felt very good to watch a baseball game again last night, I must admit that I was missing it terribly after 12 days without it. I think that must mean I am definitely meant to be a baseball wife : )
It's cloudy here and is supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow...we shall see!

The family is together once again!

Beau came home and his wife and his dog were both ecstatic to see him! Today, the whole team had a day off. Such a treat for the baseball community ha ha ha : ) I had an interview with another family on Saturday that went great and they asked me to sit today. I, needing the money desperately, happily accepted. From 11-3 I watched three adorable kids. It worked out quite well because Beau got to sleep and play Call of Duty. And then we still had the entire evening to spend together. I treated Beau to a movie and he treated me to lots of yummy sushi for dinner. Now, we're hangin' out, layin' low and enjoying the rest of our day off...I love these days...Mama and Papa Mills also had a day off today and spent it riding bikes in Cape Cod!!! How amazing does that sound?! I hear they rode 40 miles; you two are total studs and I hope that your day off was incredible!

My trip to Michigan

Good times in Michigan. I met some of Abbey's friends, all of which are great, made some yummy food and did some yard work. Sadie and I took lots of long walks and I rode the bike through Waukezoo Woods. Sadie met a friend, a lone cat who seemed quite nice so I thought I'd see how they played together; check out the video below, pretty darn cute.
Now, I'm back in Akron with Shannon (Steven got pulled back down to AA so she's back with me) and we're hangin' out, enjoying each other's company until our husbands come home on Sunday.
