1st of 10

It is the 1st night of 10 that Beau will be gone. So far, our night has consisted of hours of the Olympics, go USA!, edamame and Popsicles. Oh and ridiculous faces by my daughter. Life is good : ) I am tossing the idea of driving to Huntsville, AL where they have a 5 game series in a few days but we'll see. I see a lot of beach, pool, gym and mall visits in my near future!

It's hot!

It's been around 90 here everyday for the past week and it feels about 100. I'm not going to be in denial, I am very ready to go home. This is the first time I've felt like this but being almost August, it's just that time of the year where everyone wants to go home : ) Our landlady is trying to sell our condo so every now and then she calls ad asks if she can show it. This morning was a showing so we took Kensie as Sadie to the dog park/play ground to burn an hour. Beau goes on a 9 day road trip starting Saturday so I think we will be frequenting this park often!

Another day off; life is good!

So, yesterday was pretty much a repeat of our last day off : ) Except this time, the ENTIRE team showed up haha The weather was perfect, hot. We played lots of vball and cooled off in the water often. Such a good way to spend the day. The guys took turns watching Kensie, taking her swimming, and playing with her. I think they would all be pretty wonderful dads!

A couple uneventful days

The boys are playing in Mobile, AL which is about an 1 1/2 away. They have been commuting by bus and get to come home at night! Really nice to have him back at night and also in the mornings. Today they play at 2, we have a day off tomorrow and then a 5 day home stand! And then it's August; I can't believe we will be home in a little over a month. I am in my 9th week of pregnancy and I'm tired all the time and nauseous. Kensie has been a bit of a nightmare, deciding on no afternoon naps leaving me to deal with an impossible child. But, I better get used to it : )

A day off!

Oh, how we cherish these days! We set out for the beach around 10:30 and got home at 7:30! We were rained out for about 2 hours but it cleared up. I went home in between to take the dog for a walk and let kensie nap. A bunch of Beau's teammates were out there all day and they played volleyball and corn hole for the majority of the it : ) Good times! I met some new friends and the boys fell in love with our daughter. It was pretty sweet.

The Blue Angels Show!

The Blue Angels is the United States Navy's flight demonstration squadron. It was formed in 1946, making it the second oldest formal flying aerobatic team in the world, after the French Patrouille de France formed in 1931. The Blue Angels' six demonstration pilots fly the F/A-18 Hornet in more than 70 shows at 34 locations throughout the United States each year, where they still employ many of the same practices and techniques used in their aerial displays in 1946. An estimated 11 million spectators view the squadron during air shows each year. The Blue Angels also visit more than 50,000 people a show season (March through November) in schools and hospitals.Since 1946, the Blue Angels have flown for more than 260 million spectators. (Wikipedia.com)
They are stationed here in Pensacola and fly all over the country performing. But their hometown show is the biggest and the baddest and we got to be here for it!
On a side note, Kensie found a new hiding spot ha ha!!!!

The NAS Museum

Yesterday, it was supposed to rain all day so the family came my way and we headed to the Naval Air Station and the museum there. It was pretty incredible. Airplanes, more airplanes than you can imagine, from every era, every war. A fantastic thing to do while we were here!

Dad was in his glory with two big storms the last few days! But it did clear up and the girls got some good beach and pool time in. And we took a ride on the brand new ferris wheel last night; a gorgeous view of Pensacola Beach! And spotted a tbird for Max!!!
