about ready for ohio...

i know it's beautiful and gorgeous here in arizona, and i AM having a lovely time. but beau and i are in agreement that we are both about ready to pack up and move onto ohio. we're ready to be in a place for longer than two months. dad is flying out next thursday to drive with me on friday. it's about 30 hours i think to get there. i looked up the weather and it's in the 50's during the day which isn't too bad but in the 30's at night which is when the games will be so i'll have to bundle up!!!

and this morning, beau got up to get ready and i laid in bed and sleep for a couple more minutes. unbeknownst to me, beau took some shots of me and sadie enjoying some snuggle time.

our fun-filled weekend

beau and i have had a busy weekend with lots of visitors. first on friday, uncle steve was in town for the weekend with three of his golfing buddies. beau and i drove to scottsdale and went to a KILLER steak joint called the capital grille. Yummo. the steaks were to die for and the wine list was longer than all get out which the older gentlemen seemed to enjoy thouroughly : ) to say the least, it was a VERY enteraining evening with lots of laughs.

then, saturday night, brian and cindy dotters drove into town. they came over to see us and sadie after we got back from church.

sunday we went and saw beau play. this was the first minor league spring training game that i've been to. it was really weird. no fans, no scoreboard, no music, to concessions. it didn't feel quite right. i can see, for many many reasons, why beau prefers playing the big guns. and of course, we had to make a trip to cabela's, probably beau and brian's favorite store of all time .we went to bj's for dinner and watched the usa vs japan wbc game...sadly, we succumbed to the japanese : (

and today, was another gloriously beautiful day and matt laird is taking beau and i out to dinner. joe dickerson, who plays for the royals, lived with beau during fall ball and who recently took matt as his agent, will be there tonight as well. beau loves joe-he's a really great guy.

heard it was a tad frosty this morning in v-town?! crazy!

Another day with off with my husband

i dropped beau off at the ballpark today only to pick him up an hour and a half later. he was sent down today and so they gave him another day off. it was HOT today-record high of 90...i miss the 70's but they're forcasting rain and low 70's in a couple of days...

so, last night beau and i were flipping through channels and landed on a magic award show, the top magicians performing. needless to say, beau was sucked in and we watched it for two hours...this is the precursor to my story today. beau, fired up about the magic show, got his cards out and some other little trinkets and spent ALL day watching youtube videos about how to do different magic tricks...

after hours of being beau's audience, we took sadie to her first dog park! she ran and ran and ran and ran and had the time of her life. she about got trampled by a giant shnouzer but beau saved her just in time. now she's out cold on the couch : )

Happy St. Patty's Day!

How funny is this picture?! It reminded me of Sadie's cousin, Shamus and I thought I would post it in honor of Sean's heritage-go Irish! Sean, I hope you sport your shamrock biking ensemble today with pride : )

Sadie and I just got back from a walk on this lovely St. Patty morning. Beau plays away today so I think that I'll workout, lay by the pool, get my perscription filled and go to the bank instead of the game.

Tonight, Kerrie Wood is throwing a party in honor of today's holiday for only the baseball boys. He rented out a big space and there's going to be poker, probably some drinking and some serious male bonding. Wives are not allowed, SO I planned a date with American Idol; it should be one heck of a night : )

i'm back!!! sorry for the delay...

FINALLY, the internet man came to fix our modem! for 2 weeks we have had no internet and beau was quite frustrated, to say the least. so he will we a very happy camper today, plus the fact that he's staying in big league camp another week!!! he forsure thought he'd be sent down today but he texted me this morning and said he was still there : ) yay beau!!!

well, mom, dad, liz and missy all came to visit this weekend and it was AWESOME. i had such a great time with them here and am a bit sad that they left; it went by way too fast. we got to take them to our church and they loved it, we went shopping, dad rode every morning, they got to see beau start, and they enjoyed the incredible weather!

the internet works...it's a miracle!

i have had the toughest time trying to get the internet to work the last couple of days! but i finally figured it out and on top of THAT, i was able to upload my pictures on beau's computer since mine is broken : ( so, for your viewing pleasure, i am presenting several pictures of beau playing and receiving his award as well as so oh so precious pictures of miss sadie lady.

but before i do, i want to give a shout out to Papa Bern, he is officially 73 today-Happy Birthday Pops! and also to say what a praise and answer to prayer it is that Grandma Harry is feeling so much better-so good that they're taking their RV to death valley next week! i love you both-it was good to talk to you today!
