Dog Park

Googled a dog park where I could let Sadie burn some of her energy and I found a great one!!! Lots and lots of dogs for her to prance around with; I think she had a good time : ) I wore her out cause now she's sacked out on the floor. Mission: Accomplished!

Home again, Home again

Well, I drove Miss Sadie and myself home on Tuesday to get the house clean, buy groceries and get other wifely duties done before Beau came home. He arrived yesterday around 6 pm so we got to spend the evening together. He had mentioned empanadas sounded good before he left so I got the goods needed and make yummy empanadas for dinner; not gonna lie, they were pretty dang good! Thanks for the recipe Mother : ) I also bought him the movie Crazy Heart before he left but we didn't have a chance to watch it last week so we had a movie night at home; it was fantastic to spend a normal night at home! And today he had a day off so we got breakfast/lunch and The Cracker Barrel and went to the mall to get him some new jeans and a t-shirt. You all know the cute baby store that I went to in Holland? Well, I brought home a little somethin' somethin' I thought Beau'd love and he did : ) Now the family will be complete in boots!...Thought I was going to take a short break and lay down with Beau for a nap...not so short-3 hours later I'm finishing! What a fantastic and relaxing day : )

Lovely day in Holland

Oh what a fun-filled day we had! Abbey and I were up at the butt-crack of dawn, ready to get our run on! Abbey signed up for the Calvin 5k and so I tagged along-it was FREEZING! I ended up not running because I was too late to register but Abbey kicked booty and ran it in 22:30-such a stud she is : )

We came home, got ready and were off to pick Grandma Wilma up for lunch at De Boer Backery; it was delicious! We all bopped downtown and did a little shopping.

It was Tulip Time once again and I took some pictures of the beautiful flowers in memory of Grandma Harry...We miss you G-Ma and love you so much...

We walked into the cutest baby store ever and I couldn't help but snap some photos for future ideas for our nursery : )

And, of course, we stopped at the fudge/icecream/chocolate store and got lots of goodies. Yum!!! Such a fun day...Sluggos Pizza for dinner tonight and cards to keep us busy in this dreary weather...I love Holland, MI!

Baby movement update

I was layin' in bed last night watching tv with the gals and I felt little Cord, Gage, Hunter move! (Yes, I DOOOO strongly believe it's a little boy movin' around in there!)

I FEEL THE BABY!!!!!!! Oh my goodness what a surreal feeling! Such a miracle to have a little life growing inside of me : )

First road trip done...CHECK!

We have the first road trip crossed off the list! Beau got home around 10 pm on Wednesday night and he was so happy to be home and not have to sleep in a hotel another night. Catherine and Omar moved into their apartment, which is right next door to us; it's so nice to have her close! Last night was the Akron Aeros Opening Night and I saw lots of familiar faces : ) There are 2 other babies on the team so I think I'm going to fit right in and get lots of great tips and advice. I talked to Momma Mills yesterday; I'm missin' her and Dad...And congratulations to Dad for his first the win!

Getting used to our new home

Settling in here in Akron. It was 85 when we arrived and two days later is was 38 and hailing/snowing...Freezing!!! Catherine, mom and I went to get pedicures and it was lovely! We thought we deserved a little pampering after a 30 hour drive and unpacking!
: ) I got my hair cut and my stylist invited me to church down the road so this morning I joined her and had a great morning. Now we're relaxing on this beautiful Sunday afternoon and go for a run with Miss Sadie. Beau is REALLY sick, he ate at a China Buffet last night and was puking all night and all morning. I think it might be food poisoning so pray that he feels better! I feel awful for him : (

Road Trip!

We made it!!! 3 days and 30 hours later, we have arrived in Akron, OH. We got here, I signed the lease and paid our 1st month's rent and we moved right in! Much easier than last year ha ha ha. Beau got to spend 1 night with me and then he was off on his 1st road trip. He'll be gone for a week but I have a new friend, Catherine Aguilar. Her husband got traded to us from the Brewers about 2 weeks ago and she followed Mom and me across the country. So after Mom leaves on Friday, we'll have each other to keep busy : ) She's great and I'm excited to have a new friend!

And away we go...

These last couple of days have been filled with applications to fill out, faxes to send out and trying really hard to get all of the t's crossed with our apartment and furniture in Akron, OH. I've been a bit overwhelmed, trying to get everyone to work with us and understand the come and go of the baseball life...I think it's all figured out but please pray for a safe trip for us and a great season in Akron! Fingers crossed we won't be there too long but up in Columbus very soon!
So, now it's onto packing up the apartment and cleaning up so we can be outta here and on to Ohio on Sunday. Beau needs to be dropped off at the ballpark at 4 am, his flight leaves at 7 am. My mom is flying in at 8 am and so I will be on the road early with the Pudah! It's going to be a very interesting and fun-filled couple of days : )
And I want to send a shout out to the Mills Clan over in Houston!!! It's opening day for Dad and he's got a lot of family there supporting and rooting for him! Even though we aren't there, we wish we were and we are so proud of you! Miss you all so much! Hugs to all : ) The baby says hello and can't wait for you all to rub the belly-I'll be home in May!
