Beau and the team made a pit stop at Niagara Falls!

The team played a 10:35 am game this morning in Buffalo, NY, only 25 minutes from Canada! So, the bus stopped and the boys got out to see one of the most beautiful views in the world. Beau and a few of the others somehow got hooked up with a helicopter. Out of control,

A perfect day

We had a wonderful day yesterday. After a few hot days, the weather dipped down to the mid 70s with a light breeze. Perfection! I took a long run on the gorgeous Michigan paths, came home and showered and mom and I headed to Sam's Club and stocked up on all kinds of good stuff. Dad set out to find a Webber BBQ and us gals took off to the pool. I gave Kensie her first swim lesson and LOVED it. I think we will be going to the pool a few times a week when we get home. We toweled off and drove home to help Dad put together his new project. Dinner was delicious and we had s'mores for dessert, Kensie was only interested in the chocolate : ) This morning we picked Grandma up and went to the local farmer's market and grabbed a few fresh ingredients. Kensie was mesmerized by the man on the drums and even tipped him a few bucks!

We left the dock around 12 and spent the whole afternoon on the lake. It was windy but we found a sheltered spot that was perfect. Cal and Nancy tenHarmsel and their daughter Lauren were with us. Kensie did great til about 4 when she had a major meltdown, we are talking kicking and screaming meltdown! So, we got dropped off at the dock and went home where she fell fast asleep and I got to read my book on the patio in peace and quiet : ) Mom and Dad came home about an hour later and started on burgers for dinner. Bea meandered over and joined us bringing her yummy potato salad an oh so good banana bread. Kensie ate about 3 pieces ha ha And Beau found a street named quite appropriately after his hairdo! Only a week more and he will be home!

Happy Memorial Day!

Mom and Dad arrived Saturday night and stayed at our apartment for the evening. We packed up and took off for Holland around 11 and listened to the Indy 500 for most of the way. Dario Franchitti, married to Ashley Judd, won his 3rd Indy! We pulled into the house around 5 and went to the dock where Dad/Cal's new pontoon was parked! I was pretty bummed I didn't have my phone to take pictures but its a beauty : ) We're taking a ride today so I will be posting more pics soon. It's windy but a gorgeous day. Dad and Kensie put all the American flags out this morning; pretty darn cute : ) Thank you to all the men and women who have served and are serving!

Sick baby!

Kensie has Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. Jack had it we think and a ton of kids at the gym's daycare. There are no symptoms and then a high fever that goes away quickly. Next, all these sores show up. They don't seem to bother her except for the ones by her mouth. So, we are kind of stuck in the house because I don't want her to spread it and it's SO hot here. Hot and humid, yuck. Beau went to 2 movies last night, 1 which was 3D. Hence, the glasses : ) Mom and Dad land tonight yay!!! Then off to Michigan!!!

LMFAO concert!

The Dalys left yesterday morning : ( So sad to see them go; we loved loved having them here. After a 10:30 day game, Beau was home pretty early. A bunch of us got a suite in Nationwide Arena for the LMFAO concert and we all dressed the part!! We had a blast; making tons of great memories this year : ) The boys don't leave until 7 tonight so we have the whole day to enjoy before we're apart for 12 days. We're thinkin pool time! : ) oh and Beau is not flipping off the camera in that picture, he was doing the peace sign and his other finger is pointed straight at the camera so you cant see it. Just clearing that up : )
