A fantastic day

I turned the big 2-6 yesterday! And it was the perfect day. We woke up and made breakfast and Beau gave me the most beautiful bag and matching wallet; perfect for winter and our new addition coming this spring. Abbey and I got a great run in and then Beau treated me to one of my favorite places, Pita Pit, for lunch. Yum! Afterward, off to mani and pedi with Abbey and Mom. I haven't had one for a very long time and it was such a treat. And for dinner Beau treated me to the Vintage Press and took me to a movie to top off my birthday. The perfect day! Thank you all for the birthday wishes!!

My new bag; obsessed!

Twins. It's unbelievable.

Weekend getaway

Well, a one night getaway that was such a treat. Beau's high school friend got married this weekend near San Luis Obispo. We left early Saturday morning, had lunch at Firestone Grill and then headed to the hotel to get ready for the 3 o'clock wedding. It was HOT but we had a great time. We headed home on Sunday around 9:30 to make it back for a get together at the Kindy's new house; LOVE their new place!
Rochelle was kind enough to watch Kensie for the day/night. We were invited to a Mickey Mouse party that we couldn't go to but I knew Kensie would be in heaven if she got to go. Her and Jack loved it and Rochelle took some of the cutest pictures ever! Thank you so much for watching her Rochelle!

Girl or boy???!?!?

When we went in for our doctors appointment a few days ago, the doctor wanted to do a simple ultrasound instead of just the Doppler so we could see the baby and not just hear the heartbeat. 20 weeks is usually when you are able to find out the sex of your baby because that is when they do the formal ultrasound where they check that all organs, the brain, etc are alright. But we got really lucky! We are absolutely thrilled and still in a little shock but we are having a....BOY!!!!!!!! The first thing the doctor saw was a penis ha ha and we were totally speechless!!! We can't wait to give kensie a little brother. She will be such a wonderful big sister! And Beau gets to have a son : ) We were convinced that we were going to have all girls so we are thrilled!!!!! On a side note, Beau joined a church softball team with some great guys and their first game was last night. We went out to cheer him on!

It's good to be back

Family and friends. Doesn't get much better than this! I packed our fridge full of goodness and cooked a delicious dinner with fresh cookies for dessert. I am one happy mama. And tomorrow we get to hear our baby's heartbeat for the first time! At 15 weeks, we are overdue and so excited!

Nothing like home

We've had a wonderful first couple days back. Kensie has so much room to run around, it is heaven! And I can't tell you how nice it is to open the back door and let Sadie out in the morning. We've hit Chapala's already and our favorite Chinese take out. We are at the park right now and pit's like 65-70 out! Ah, yay for no more humidity....Pensacola, you will not be missed : )

We made it!!!!

After driving 8 hours after the last game and arriving at 1:30 this morning, we were up at 5:30, the girls flying the boys driving. Kensie had a few embarassing meltdowns but we survived and are back in Visalia. I seriously almost cried when I walked in our house. I just missed it so much! Abbey cleaned, got us flowers and groceries and I am so grateful. Thank you so much sister, I love you! Kensie ran straight for her toys; I think she remembers home! The guys are about 6 hours to Phoenix where they will try to get some shut eye before finishing the last leg tomorrow!!!!
