Day game = trip to Lulu Lemon and dinner with the family

Last night, 16 of us, guys from the team and their significant others, sat in a suite at Nationwide Arena and enjoyed several hours of fantastic music. It was such a blast! Our sitter was great so we took advantage and stayed out late : )

Had a great time seeing Dad! How lucky could we get having a day off and being so close?! AND the USA Today had top travel spots of the week and The Dolphin Bay, where Jake and Ab got married, made número uno!

Old friends!!

Jared Head and his wife CJ and their daughter Avenly play for Toledo. Jared and Beau had played together for the last 4 years until Jared got traded to Detroit this off season. Beau was a groomsman in their wedding this past December : ) Avenly and Kensie are 2 months apart and loved playing together last night! And it was so good to see CJ too. Day game today and so we are driving to Cincinnati to see Brad tonight! He lands and 7 and has a day off tomorrow and we do too! Can't wait to see him : )

Hair cut and home sweet home

Kensie and I made it back around 5 last night. We unloaded, then went and got gas and groceries. Beau got home around 1 am and we are so happy he's home! Before we left, Lizzy and Grammy gave Kensie a haircut because it was getting pretty ugly ha ha it's short but cute!

Happy birthday Lizzy!!!

20 years old today! Kensie was carrying her bday balloon everywhere for the last 2 days; it's like she's clinging to it for dear life ha ha We had yummy pancakes that chef Lizzy cooked up for us. Then we went for a lovely run/bike ride and got ready to go into downtown Holland! Dad, the OBI had all these classic cars and thought you would love it ; ) Lizzy got a great pair of shoes for her bday from my mom at our favorite store JB and Me. Next, we got an early bite to eat at City Vu, yummy! Now, we are home making birthday dessert: brownie, Reese's and ice cream on top! And extra pictures of Kensie in the bubble bath with the jets on! She was loving life!

Surprise visitor!

I went for a nice long run this morning out to Camp Geneva, a church camp that's up the road. We came back, showered and got ready to head into GR to pick up Pudah from the airport!!! We drove to Calvin and surprised Lizzy at her dorm; she was so surprised that she started crying, so sweet!! Lizzy and her roommate had a little time before their lab so we went to our favorite restaurant Rose's and got a bite to eat. Now, we're settled in at home with the fire on and a blustery storm is rolling in. Life is good!

Visit to Grandma and sunset at the beach

We slept in this morning and Lizzy worked on a paper while I watched the little terror that is my daughter : ) We picked up Panera and brought lunch to Grandma and had a lovely visit; Grandma Wilma had dollies and building blocks waiting for Kensie when we got there! We laid low and home this afternoon and this evening ran to the beach to watch the sunset. It was SO cold and windy but felt really refreshing. Having such a fantastic trip so far!
