Birthday girl!

So, last year Beau worked for Paul Baxley on his dairy. He noticed this old trailer sitting out in a field and thought to himself, "that would be great for duck hunting...". Fast forward to this off season. He remembers that old trailer out in the field and asks Paul if he can take it home and work on it. Thus, we have a camo trailer in our front lawn, and we've been working on it all day getting it ready for Beau to use opening weekend of duck hunting this year. Beau is officially a handy man ; ) And the other picture is of me at my birthday dinner last night! 24 years young!

Kensie's Nursery

It's almost complete!!! Over the last two weeks, we've slowly been working on the little miss's nursery. Yesterday, Beau hung the chandelier and we got her bedding in and we hung up the mirror and picture. Not quite finished but getting mighty close!

Last night, Beau and I decided to have my familia over for dinner. A delicious meal of cedar plank salmon, skewered veggies, salad, rice, french bread and good wine. Wow, props to my husband who made an AMAZING meal! So so so yummy ; ) It was nice to host a great dinner at our house again, it's been a while ha ha ha And Beau surprised me with my first pre-birthday gift with a Petunia and Pickle Bottom diaper bag!!! It is so so adorable and I am obsessed!!! Good job Beau, you're the best ever : )

Some fun pictures from home!!! Beau got his bear rug, the one that we shot last year in the back of a cave, and it is now laying on the floor in his office and he is mighty proud. We were driving out of our neighborhood yesterday and spotted this bright pink dog. Of course we had to stop and inquire of the owner as to why it was dyed bright pink. Snowflake, a toy poodle, was owned by a family with a couple little girls and they thought it would be fun to die Snowflake pink. Very entertaining...And last but not least, Beau and I found this "drinking glove" at a store up in Fresno. We couldn't resist but buy it for Sean. Classic.

Baby Shower Pics!

Oh my, what a great day!!! People are so generous, it blows my mind. Got all kinds of goodies that you'll see in the pictures. It was a beautiful morning to have a shower and there was such a fantastic turnout.

Baby Shower Today!!!

Yay!!! There is a joint shower today at Aunt Laurie's house, my side and Beau's side getting together for a brunch to give Miss Kensie some Welcome gifts! Very exciting! And while all us gals are chatting away, the boys have decided to golf this morning and then gather for lots of football at our house...We had a doctor's appointment on Thursday and all looks great. I'm not dilated at all and I'm thinking Kens will be in there cooking til my due date, Beau thinks maybe a couple days late, around October 17...We shall see!

Lil' Missy aka Tennis Phenom

Missy looked like a stud yesterday on the court. She's CVC's #1 player on their team, yes, I am absolutely bragging cause I'm very proud! She plays again today at 4 pm and then it's off to celebrate Mom's 49th birthday with a family dinner!!! Oh she is so young still : )  Happy Birthday Mom, soon to be Grandma!

Mission: Baby Swing

This mission was near impossible...Omar and Cat Aguilar, our great great friends from this past season, were so generous and got us our swing! Rochelle and I cooked spaghetti dinner tonight for Beau, Sean, Kirk and ourselves and watched some college football. As we cooked, the boys thought they'd start on the swing, deciding they were way too smart to read the directions. Bad idea. An hour later, after the swing was put together the wrong way and then taken apart again, Rochelle read them the directions and they put it together the CORRECT way...Mission Accomplished!!! So excited for our little girl to come!

Welcome Home Block Party

Last night, Sean and Rochelle invited 15-20 of our close friends and family over for appetizers and drinks to welcome us back home. It was so great to see everyone! Vanessa deJonge and her family have been friends with Beau's family for years and years and her and her husband Evan live right down the street from Sean and Rochelle. She is about 4 months pregnant, Rochelle is about 5 and I'm right around 8. So we couldn't resist taking a preggers pic!!

HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOO HOO!!!!! Home sweet home!! Oh, how awesome it feels to sleep in our own bed....I headed to Des Moines, Iowa where I stayed the night and picked Beau up from the airport at 8:30 am and off we went. We drove 16 hours to Grand Junction, Colorado. We needed some serious sleep but we were up and at em' by 6:45 am and drove another 12 yesterday til we arrived home! Mom and Dad had a hot meal and cold beer waitin' for Beau : ) Taylor, Aubrey, Sean and Rochelle all came over to say hello and Beau had to show off all of the clothes he bought for Miss Kensie. Sean and Rochelle gave Beau his birthday gift, a camo diaper bag and a Daddy's Girl camo onesie. Absolutely adorable!!!!

Sunday Night Dinner

Grandma Wilma and Jake's family came over for a fantastic meal this evening. Abbey is a lucky lucky girl marrying into such a great family! Good people : ) Last night here at the Holland house before Sadie and I head to Des Moines, IA where we meet Beau (yay SO excited to see him) and California bound we will be!!!
