another day in the rain...

Dad reading nursery rhymes

And a child's book of prayers that Aunt Linda gave to us...Precious!

Santa's little reindeer
For those of you who live out of state, I'm sure you've seen on the news the series of storms that have been hitting California. It has been non-stop rain for the last three days and is supposed to continue for a few more. It's so wet outside, it's hard to want to venture too far from home. So today, I cleaned away in the morning for a few hours and Beau spent some quality father-daughter time with Kensie, reading to her and playing ; ) Pretty adorable! I'm going to help Abbey dress shop this afternoon and then dinner at the Vannette's! A lovely day...

something a little more happy...

Our little Christmas bear

Couldn't you just eat her right up??

AND Abbey and Lizzy are home for Christmas!!! So happy to have them home : )

some scary news...

Last night, Beau was in a bad accident. He is ok. He was headed home around 5 pm going about 50 mph, when a car traveling in the other direction, coming toward him, swerved into the dirt and then over corrected and hit Beau head on. It was pouring down rain. Beau's truck went completely over top of the car and land on a fence on the side of the road. The other driver's car was smashed like an accordian. Beau didn't suffer any injuries and unbelievably neither did the other driver. I am so thankful to God for protecting my husband and Kensie's daddy, he truly had His hand on Beau last night. Things like this really put into perspective what's important in life. Beau and Kensie mean everything to me and I am so grateful he is ok.

Funniest story ever

A morning alone with daddy

instead of normal baby shampoo, daddy used this on me! dog shampoo!!!! he didn't look very closely...

but it's ok, I still smelled pretty good ; )
Today, I had to bring Sadie to the vet to update her on some of her shots. I left Beau in charge of Kensie while I went. While I was gone, Kensie had a poop attack in her pants and Beau was forced to give her a bath, something that he's been a little nervous to do. When I came home, he had just gotten her out of the bath and asked what shampoo I usually used. I said 'the pink one' and he goes 'not the red one?'. I look at him with utter disbelief on my face. He says 'not the Bed Head'? I tell him, 'are you kidding me? it says PET head!' and he about peed his pants laughing. He gave our daughter a bath with Sadie's dog shampoo....Shall I ever trust to leave him alone with our daughter again?!?!?! Ahhh, a story that will live on for years! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!

Mommy and Me

Goin' out on the town!

Beau's duck band
Well, Beau is off in Houston with his dad enjoying some father-son time. They're duck hunting as we speak and tomorrow night they're headed to the Texans vs Ravens Monday Night Football game so keep your eyes peeled for them! Beau left Friday afternoon and arrives back on Tuesday afternoon giving Kensie and me some mother-daughter time : ) Yesterday, we went to Grandma Judy and Grandpa Kady's house. I went with the intention of helping decorate and stuff Christmas cards but they offered to watch Kensie so I could go get a mani-pedi and do some grocery shopping. Then, last night, we attended the Tulare Community Church Christmas show. It was really neat, involving 5 different churches from the surrounding area all singing and performing. A very special night out with Dad, Mom and my daughter : ) Kensie even wore a little Christmas outfit, one of the ones Beau picked out this season!...And the picture of the silver thing is a duck band. What the heck is that? Well, there are ducks that the government bands, puts this little silver thing around one of their legs, so they can track to see where they migrate and to keep track of their patterns. If you shoot one, you call it in and they send you the official documents of that duck. It's pretty rare and Beau was extremely excited to say the least : )
